The mall has a total of six floors and all levels have been designed with comfort and style in mind. The landscaping of the garden state plaza was done in such a way that it gives the feeling like you are at a world-class shopping center.
Garden State Plaza offers shoppers a variety of different types of retail space. On the ground level you will find over one hundred and fifty individual shops that carry everything from casual apparel to fine jewelry. Also on the ground level are two hundred and seventy-two restaurants that serve food from around the world. On the third floor you will find a four hundred and fifty-two movie theater that offers a full screening of the latest releases. All of these retail spaces add up to over six thousand square feet of retail space.
The parking garage is located directly across from the Garden State Plaza. This parking garage is the second largest in the entire mall. It is two thousand nine hundred feet long, two hundred and eighty feet wide, and has about three hundred and forty-five thousand square feet of retail space. If you were to ever construct a mall of this size it would be the tallest building in New Jersey and the fourth largest in New Jersey as a whole.
The other major tenant of the Garden State Plaza is the New York Times Square shop. The New York Times Square store is located directly across from the mall entrance. In addition to the newspaper the store has one hundred and sixty plus shops including one of the best coffee shops in the city. The New York Times Square store is open daily for business. During the busy summer season the plaza is open seven days a week including all four Sundays.
The parking garage is attached to the mall. There are several different levels of floors for parking including a top level that is over fifty seven thousand square feet in size. There are also levels of twenty-eight thousand square feet and thirty-eight thousand square feet. The mall has stores that range from department stores to electronics to gift shops and a spa where you can get a total relaxation experience before heading out into town.
The shopping centers at the Garden State Plaza are the second largest mall in the area after the Times Square. The Garden State Plaza is also home to one of the largest movie theaters in the country. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center has four movie theaters. This makes the Garden State Plaza the only place in New Jersey that has four movie theaters.
The Garden State Plaza in New Jersey is a tourist attraction that will remain open for much longer into the future. The opening of the mall is supposed to start in fall of 2021. Other local events such as a free evening parade and food court plaza events are scheduled through the year.
